Our Commitment
N.E.S.T (Nurturing Education with School & Therapy) exists to support children with special needs and their families, and inclusion is at the very heart of what we do. That belief extends to our website. We want this site to be usable and welcoming for everyone, including people who use assistive technologies such as screen readers, and the families of children with disabilities who visit us online. We are committed to making our digital presence as accessible and easy to use as we can.
Measures We Take
We have built this website with accessibility in mind, and we take a number of practical steps to support it:
- We use clear, semantic HTML structure so pages are easier to navigate with assistive technology.
- We provide descriptive alternative text on meaningful images so their content can be understood by screen readers.
- We aim for readable colour contrast between text and its background across our cream and teal palette.
- Interactive elements, such as buttons and links, are keyboard-focusable so the site can be used without a mouse.
- The site uses a responsive, mobile-friendly design that adapts to phones, tablets and computers.
- We respect the “reduced motion” preference in your device or browser, so animations are eased for those who prefer less movement.
Ongoing Effort
Accessibility is not a one-time task but a continuing journey. As we update our website and add new content, we keep working to improve how accessible and inclusive it is. We review our pages over time and welcome the chance to do better.
Known Limitations
We want to be honest with you. Despite our best efforts, some parts of the website may not yet be fully accessible. For example, certain third-party embeds or older pieces of content may not meet the same standards as the rest of the site. Where we are aware of such limitations, we are working to improve them, and your feedback helps us know where to focus.
